First off, I commend your insight as to remove the noise from this fractal. It really helped bring this to life. Keeping that in mind, however, you will have to make a conscious decision for each of your fractals as to whether or not to keep the noise. For the fractal that I should be receiving in the mail tomorrow or Saturday, the noise worked to the fractal's advantage. For this one, noise would have destroyed the piece. Most of your pieces will work much better without noise.

While I completely get that you were going for a look that would be akin to a painting, the edges should have been more defined. It looks as if this was rendered in a very low quality as a result. If you did in fact render this in a low quality, then it is too low a rendering. If you tried to blend everything together, you did it inaccurately, and it comes off as being poorly rendered.

I like how you were going for a more natural, painted sort of look. It seems to be the overarching theme. It could have been executed better, however, but I appreciate it for what it is. Make sure that you can maintain a third person's view of what you are doing.

I'm a little too frustrated to say much more. Some dimwit decided to put advertisements in all of the mailboxes in my dorm. It's a federal offense to put anything in a mailbox that doesn't have a postage stamp on it, and I don't know whether to report this lady to the Post Office (for a hefty fine) or just notify the lady of what she's done.
